My sailing trips with the Star Clippers and the Royal Clipper in the Caribbean Sea, the Mediterranean Sea, across the Atlantic and the Indian Ocean.

For some time I have been waiting for the first trip with the Star Clippers, and since then I have traveled several times with the Star Clippers and the Royal Clipper.
Several times in
the Caribbean Sea, once in the Mediterranean Sea, once across the Atlantic and
once from Egypt to Goa.
Every time it was
a great adventure.
I enjoy the
morning hours when there is practically nobody on deck and you can get the
feeling to make the trip just by yourself. Sometimes you meet people who had
the same idea to get up early and you can have wonderful conversations with the
first cup of coffee, tea or chocolate.
Every day there
is something new, a new island, a new report. And there are also so many excursions
which you can enjoy.
For me something
really special is to lie down on a lounge chair on deck looking to the sails
and - at the same time – looking on to the sky and stars which – you get the
feeling - are shaking to one side and back. Of course this is very pleasent in
the Caribbean Sea with air temperatures at night still from 25 to 30°C.
During the day I
enjoy very much “to leave the ship while sailing”, that means to leave the ship
at the bow and lying down in the net in front of the ship where you can have
the feeling of flying over the water.
